Today was a day full of rotating from one couch cushion to the other for Davis. The strong stomach pain and nausea was in control for most of the day. The past few days have been full of emotion about the football season beginning without Davis being involved. He wanted to go and watch Ryan and Ben even try out, however, has not felt up to it. Davis did have the fun opportunity today of talking and laughing with friends via web cam. Just a quick SHOUT OUT to all his friends...You guys ROCK! You have no idea how much you lift his spirits when you call, text or stop by to see him. He is always a little reflective and tender when the goodbyes are said, for the interactions he is missing. I cannot say enough to thank you for the support and confidence you show in your love for Davis.
He loves you all right back.
The public nature of our trial is still at times a little out of the comfort zone, however, I am in constant awe at the words of love, gratitude and support for Davis. The tender and emotional comments of life-altering impact that this amazing boy seems to be having on so many is humbling and inspiring.
People are good.
We will continue to maintain from home as much as possible and hopefully stretch out our days at the hospital. Thursday is another big day with follow-up CT scans and medication/lab reviews.
So until then, we will continue to rotate couch cushions, and if the moment allows, maybe something a little more exciting!
