October 2012 - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly...and The Good!(done)

Often times you have to stop and look at all the good things in the midst of the not so...I feel like we are making an effort to do that on a daily basis, however, there are just sometimes that you have to let loose, get it out and say it all...the good, the bad and the ugly...wrapping up with the good of course!  I find myself snapping photos(mainly because I just broke into the world of an I-phone and yes, I love it!) to capture ALL the activities of our days.   I feel like when I look back on the photos it gives me opportunity to truly process, reflect or cherish the moment in a way that in the middle of it all is nearly impossible!

***Although it IS Halloween time, I must include a disclaimer that a few of the photos in the bad or even ugly category may not sit well if you have a weak stomach!

dad visiting

Freedom to walk the halls

Bad days when the stomach pain is so desperate that he is doubled over most of the night and into the day.  Then somehow with all the efforts in place he gets an hour or two of reprieve.  It's amazing still, the hope in those moments of less symptoms how we unconsciously let our guard down to feel some regularity and calm.  The calm can last for hours, or moments.  Tonight a few hours then settling in for bed and much needed rest, the bloody nose begins again.  Will it stop before too much is lost?  Does his body have enough reserve tonight, or will we head in for a transfusion.  Everyone else sleeping, Jeff and Courtney gone, repack the bag that was optimistically unpacked for the day!
