This thought process has truly helped us manage in the present. Although starring at the face of two difficult treatments, he is feeling the ambiguity of something new and something pretty intense. He matter of fact said, "so if I do have to do chemo and lose all these luscious locks (he says as he runs his hands through his hair), he stops, looks in the mirror, wow, if I have to shave my head , it would be pure white under there, blinding white! I would then have to go head tanning!" Heavenly Father, Thank you for this boys humor. It is difficult to talk about a direction when we do not know. I know the humor and mood will change a bit when it all starts taking place, but for today, we laughed.
He continues to keep this positive attitude as he gets bursts of energy from some other source than his physical body. Even after the 20 questions... all that have to take place before any activity, like; Do you have your emergency bracelet on? Is everyone healthy where you are going to hang out? What is the air quality outside today? Is the wind blowing? Did you take your meds? he sports a smile, checks them all off and goes about his day! We are trying to compromise on projects to pass the slow times that are somewhere between puzzles and sanding the roof of his car. He is currently working on constructing a volleyball net system that can go in the backyard. Game on!
