Bye Bye Junior High, 6th, 4th and 1st grade and College bound!

The last few weeks of school are always extremely full!   After Ryan and friends "ruled" Kaysville Elementary as 6th graders, he looks forward to paving the way in the new                     Centennial Junior High as a 7th grader!
We celebrate BIG this year as Davis says goodbye to KJH and hello to DHS.

Ben and Emmi were in love with all the rendezvous and field trips of the year end!

In fall I signed up for all the spring activities that I could not attend last year or the fall and about lost my head with all the trips the last few weeks of school.    I had a blast and had a tearful moment as I realized I was attending my fifth and last 1st grade field trip to the Hoogle Zoo.

Ben prepared for a week to enter the pie eating contest.  He went into it with great confidence in the amount of food he is capable of eating at home.  About 3 minutes and 20 bites into it, his enthusiasm was disappearing.  All the sudden bites were coming out rather than in and he realized winning isn't everything!

Ben catches his first fish with his bare hands!
The next few photos tell the animated story of Ben and his fish.

So excited to gut his own fish!

"ouch, get it off...take it quick!"

"whoa! wait look there is a whole worm in my fish, cool!"

"that is soo cool, let me get it out!

"look girls there is a whole worm in my fish!

He was pleased with the response that he got with the screams and eww gross that came from the girls in the crowd

After a 3 hour round trip to the Heber Creeper with a bus full of fourth graders and then the Zoo bus ride, I finally wised up and literally packed ear plugs for the trips.  Ahh, wisdom does come with old age!

The first week of summer was full of organizing, sleeping in, job charts, swimming, work, helping friends move, baseball games, hiking to the V, and yard work. We finally got a few plants in the garden as the weather decided to be spring and summer and winter all in the same week.

We celebrate Courtney as the school year ends.  How fun is it to put 19 candles on a cheesecake!  As the first few weeks of summer are speeding by, I realize each day is closer to her moving out again.  She is loving being home and also excited to be heading out again in fall to UVU. Different apartment and new roommates as she moves to Liberty Square.  For now we are enjoying every day spent with her and are hoping to take a few moments along the way to vacation and make memories.  More than ever, we understand the need to make the most of the things that matter the most and hold onto the memories tight.
